My Dear Reader,
We have officially opened. Our official inauguration happened on the 1st of December, 2021. If you were among those in attendance you would agree that it was a power-packed event that had us thinking about the state of education in Nigeria.
Our guest speakers enlightened us on the essence of Educational Psychology in Nigeria and around the world. The presentations were indeed a wake-up call for everyone who listened as we witnessed a huge disparity in the development of Educational Psychology globally and in our country.
Compared to the strides that other nations have made in the field of education, Nigeria still lags behind. However, we cannot give up yet. With the right decisions and strategies, Nigeria can catch up with the rest of the world. ANEP hopes to contribute to this goal effectively.
What is ANEP’s plan?
You can call this plan our 7-point agenda. The Association of Nigerian Educational Psychologists hopes to do the following:
Increase people’s understanding of the basic things that Educational Psychologists do.
Offer affordable and quality therapeutic services to those that require them.
Assess learning difficulties and proffer efficient solutions.
Help young people to achieve self-actualisation by connecting with their families.
Create a community of like-minds in order to transmit and promote knowledge about Educational Psychology.
Collaborate with schools, communities, public, and private organisations to improve the learning experience.
Conduct, review, and publish research in Educational Psychology.
